Diocesan Nurse based in Limerick Diocese
This role is collaborating with clergy in the Limerick Diocese. Providing an advocacy and support service to priests in the community who are in active ministry and retired. This is a great opportunity to work within a growing community client focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the physical and emotional requirements of the clergy
- Develop a holistic care plan in conjunction with the clergy
- Advise and liaise on mobility aids and appliances and housing grants as required in the home
- Provision of regular support visits to the clergy who are residing in long-term residential homes
- Provision of health promotion and well-being for all clergy living in the diocese, organising regular screening and workshops based on nutrition and general well-being
- Provision of clinical observations to the clergy
The ideal candidate must be:
- A Registered Nurse (ideally with community experience) with active pin number
- Have the ability to co-ordinate care planning in the community
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative
- Possess excellent communication and time management skills
This is a part-time role-2.5 days per week, providing an advocacy service to members of the clergy residing in their own homes in the Limerick Diocese.
