Invitation

If you have experienced a sense of calling to the priesthood and would like assistance to explore this more, I would invite you to contact me by phone or call to the centre with a view to initiating a conversation.

We also invite you to one of our open nights which will consist of prayer, reflection and an opportunity to speak to priests.

Come and see

A program for those who wish to explore the path to priesthood

What we offer below is the outline of a program which would:

Create a safe and pressure free environment to explore your questions.
Give you an opportunity for learning, prayer and reflection.
Introduce you to priests who work in a verity of pastoral situations.

Priest Mentors

A priest is assigned to each participant to accompany you on this journey of discernment. You will meet with the priest at least once a month and you will be invited to make a commitment to some parish activity.

Study Group

The study group will meet on a monthly basis. There will be some flexibility as we are aware of varied work commitments. The group will explore Priesthood, Scripture and other Church related topics.

You will gather to explore prayer and meditation.

You will also be introduced to Bishop Murray’s vision for the diocese through reflection on his Pastoral Letters which are available on the diocesan website.

Visits

You will also have an opportunity to meet with priests in special ministries, such as School and Third Level Chaplaincy, Social Services, Prison and Hospital
