Our Lady of Limerick,
we ask you to intercede with your Son for our city
so that he, who is our peace,
may soften the hearts of those who are engaged in violence,
console those who have been bereaved by violence,
comfort those who live in fear of violence,
strengthen those who work to end violence,
and free those in danger of being drawn into the spiral of violence.

Seat of Wisdom,
pray for us that we may have the wisdom to overcome violence,
the practical compassion to reach out to those who are suffering,
the generosity of spirit to walk with those who have been bereaved.

Queen of Peace,
your Son came so that we might have life to the full,
pray for us that we may have the grace
to live and celebrate and share the Gospel of Life,
so that we may grow,
into the peace and truth and love
which are his gift and promise.
