Special celebrations for Year of Consecrated Life

Limerick celebrates!

The Community of Marie Reparatrice was host to a special event on Sunday, February 1st.

Our Bishop. Brendan Leahy gathered with the Religious of  the  Diocese to celebrate the Feast of Consecrated Life, during this year dedicated to Consecrated Life.

There was a very large gathering of Religious, men and women present for Mass at 2.30.p.m. There was a good group of Concelebrants and among them was Bishop Donal Murray, Bishop Emeritus of Limerick

In his Homily, Bishop Brendan asked us to renew our Consecration, even though we may feel that we have lost our youth and vigour. He promised that this is only the beginning and that during the year, there will be other meaningful events for the Religious.

After Mass every available space was filled with Religious sharing tea and chat  There was an atmosphere of joy and warmth about the whole event. We look forward to more.!
