Advent 2014: Scripture reflections

A new scripture resource from the Limerick Diocese!

As we begin a new liturgical year, we might like to make some ‘new year’ resolutions!  Pope Francis and Bishop Brendan have encouraged us to read, pray and listen to God’s word in scripture.

Each week Lorraine, (our Faith Development Coordinator),  will be posting an A4 downloadable resource on the Diocesan website which includes the Sunday Gospel, a little background to the Gospel, some questions for personal reflection, a little  reflection from the catechism, saints, popes etc. on some aspect of the Sunday Gospel and a prayer from the Sunday liturgy.

Taking our hearts to the Lord - Advent Scripture sharing resources

Since 2006 small groups of adults have gathered weekly during Advent and Lent in parish meeting rooms, family homes and other settings to pray together and to reflect upon the Gospel passages proclaimed at Sunday Mass. Many participants participate year after year as they experience many blessings through their participation.
