Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

A pilgrimage is a journey or search of great moral or spiritual significance. For Christians, typically, it is a journey to a shrine or other location of importance to our faith.  A person who makes a pilgrimage is called a pilgrim. Pilgrimages with the Diocese of Limerick include the annual diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes and the World Youth Day Pilgrimage.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

This pilgrimage takes place every year from June 21st to June 26th, with direct flights from Shannon airport. It is a well loved and central part of our diocesan year, where the most vulnerable become the most important, and our service and prayer is all for them. A large youth group (90) travel each year so most parishes in the diocese participate and bring home the joy and healing of this special pilgrimage to Limerick.
